As our U.S. customers may or may not already know, GL Sciences, Inc. is the inventor and manufacturer of Inertsil packing materials, along with many of the packed Inertsil HPLC columns you currently use. New for 2007 and Beyond In order to streamline our U.S. sales channels and eliminate the possibility of confusion as to the source, manufacturer, or quality standards of every Inertsil column sold in the United States, as of January 1, 2006, GL Sciences, Inc. will only supply Inertsil columns which have been manufactured, tested, labeled, and boxed by GL Sciences, Inc. in Japan. In other words, whether you purchase Inertsil columns directly from GL Sciences, Inc. in the United States, or from another reseller, the columns will all be manufactured in one place, look the same, and perform exactly the same.		Background If you use GL Sciences' newest and most advanced packings, such as the Inertsil 3 Series (including ODS-3, ODS-3V, C8-3, Ph-3, CN-3, Diol, and 100A Silica), you are already using columns prepacked by GL Sciences, Inc., in Japan, in an ISO9001 compliant facility. For some time, these columns have been sold in the U.S. market by resellers, who sometimes used their own boxes, column labels, and part numbers when delivering these columns. While ALL of these columns were manufactured by GL Sciences, Inc., in Japan, they may have looked different, depending on the company from which they were purchased. Additionally, GL Sciences, Inc., made certain bulk packings available for sale, including Inertsil Series 2 packings (including Inertsil ODS-2, C8, Ph, C4, and 150A Silica), from which some column manufactures produced packed HPLC columns bearing the Inertsil trademark.
