MonoTip TiO2 Titanium Dioxide Pipette Tips
Highly Selective Enrichment of phosphorylated peptides from complex peptide mixtures

Extremely selective for phosphorylated peptide extraction and/or enrichment from proteolytic digests
More selective than IMAC for most applications
TiO2 coated monolith disk provides better flow properties than packed-bed pipette tips

A completely new base material for low pressure, pipette-tip enrichment of phosphorylated peptides has been developed by GL Sciences.  This unique material consists of Titanium Dioxide coated on the surface of a porous silica monolithic disc, which is immobilized in a pipette tip.  Tips are available in standard 10-200uL size in packages of 8 or 96.  Sample capacity on the 10-200uL tips is approximately 15 ug for tyrosine phosphopeptide, and an average of about 5 ug total phosphopeptide binding of real-world samples.

MonoTip TiO2 offers greater selectivity for phosphopeptides than alternative methods, such as IMAC (immobilized metal affinity chromatography).  Typically, IMAC shows significant binding of non-phosphorylated peptides which have multiple acidic residues.  This problem is often eliminated by using MonoTip TiO2.

A list of references is shown below which detail the benefits of MonoTip and Titansphere (HPLC version of MonoTip).  Please email GL Sciences for particular papers as we are able to provide some of these papers in a PDF format.
